Our next 'Meet the Maker' online meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, October 23rd, beginning at 8:00PM EDT. Our guest presenter will be woodworker and former North Bennet Street instructor, Steve Brown.
Steve Brown began his woodworking career in 1981, enrolled in the Cabinet and Furniture-making program at the North Bennet St. School in Boston in 1988. Upon graduation, he worked for the late Phile Lowe, and also taught in the North Bennet Street workshop program. In 1999 he joined the full-time staff of NBSS, became department head three years later, and remained there for twenty-one years. Steve has written extensively, done commission work for private clients and museums such as Winterthur and the MFA in Boston. Steve will also be presenting at the next 'Working Wood in the 18th Century' conference in January.
