The theme of this dining table is based on the fall season with oak leaves and acorns. The table size is 31″ tall x 51″ wide x 93″long. My Inspiration for the design is based off the Herter Brothers Furniture company in New York City (working 1860-1906) Brothers Gustave & Christian Herter. Designing and making this table took me a little over 1,800 hours, which is the most time I have ever spent on one piece of furniture. This piece was very enjoyable to make. There are a total of 1,667 individual pieces of veneer that make up the entire marquetry top and aprons. The marquetry is made up with an assortment of 16 different exotic and domestic veneers to bring out the natural colors of fall. The legs and trim are all hand carved out of Genuine Mahogany.
