Primary wood: Black Walnut
Secondary woods: Poplar and White Pine

Finish: Walnut husk stain, orange shellac, waxed with Asphaltem

I started this project in 2001 in a class by Gene Landon at Olde Mill but made a few minor changes from Gene's. I allowed for a larger hidden drawer accessible from the back. (There are a total of 4 hidden drawers. I also made the top molding taller and added a fillet to compensate for making my doors a little short (layout mistake). The hardware is from Londonderry Brasses and Optimum Brass. My friend Bob Bernard gave me the curly walnut board I used for all of the upper drawers. The upper carcass boards were hand thickness planed since they were too wide for my planer. There are 248 dovetails, and it took 3094 days from start to finish!
