I made this Massachusetts highboy using mahogany primary wood with poplar secondary. The design is from Glen Huey's Illustrated Guide to Building Period Furniture (a Popular Woodworking book). In phone conversations with Glen, I learned that his design is loosely based on the "Masterpiece" on page 195 of Albert Sack's The New Fine Points of Furniture. I made my highboy in 2009, and my son Rob Milam did the photography.
