Bob,
Feel free to contact me with your wish list. I usually sell good user tools at the SAPFM banquet but I may not be able to attend this year. I'm in northern virginia so if you are passing south on I-95, you would be close to me. I have a friend that wants to sell his large collection of user tools and he is between me and Williamsburg, also near I-95. I'll ask him if he will be open to showing his goods when I see him this weekend. The Richmond Antique Tool Society is having its annual tool sale at The Showplace in Mechanicsville, Jan 1-2. It sounds like a record number of dealer tables have been consigned.
There is one tool dealer in the Virginia Bazaar near Ladysmith, it might be exit 112 but I could be wrong. Not a large selection but some decent stuff. I've sold a lot of tools to him in the past and pciked up a couple of goodies as well.
As far as other places to buy tools in Virginia, its surprisingly weak or I havent found it yet. If you're not coming in along I-95 but travelling I-81, stop at The Factory Antique Mall at exit 227 in Verona. Its close to the I-64/I-81 split and worth the stop. A friend of mine is a tool dealer there and has a lot of good stuff in good condition.
John
