Sources of old tools?

Would anyone like to share a source for old tools that I could visit on my drive to Williamsburg in January? We drive through Virginia and would expect several good places in this area.
I am interested in tools for a user verses a collector.

Bob,
Feel free to contact me with your wish list. I usually sell good user tools at the SAPFM banquet but I may not be able to attend this year. I'm in northern virginia so if you are passing south on I-95, you would be close to me. I have a friend that wants to sell his large collection of user tools and he is between me and Williamsburg, also near I-95. I'll ask him if he will be open to showing his goods when I see him this weekend. The Richmond Antique Tool Society is having its annual tool sale at The Showplace in Mechanicsville, Jan 1-2. It sounds like a record number of dealer tables have been consigned.

There is one tool dealer in the Virginia Bazaar near Ladysmith, it might be exit 112 but I could be wrong. Not a large selection but some decent stuff. I've sold a lot of tools to him in the past and pciked up a couple of goodies as well.

As far as other places to buy tools in Virginia, its surprisingly weak or I havent found it yet. If you're not coming in along I-95 but travelling I-81, stop at The Factory Antique Mall at exit 227 in Verona. Its close to the I-64/I-81 split and worth the stop. A friend of mine is a tool dealer there and has a lot of good stuff in good condition.

Hi John-
Thanks for your info and offer. I do not have a specific item, just enjoy seeing what is available and filling in needed items. I am interested in stopping by the Verona location which does not give an I95 time.
If you do make it to Williamsburg for the second session, could you let me know? Thanks for the help

Bob- I can vouch for John Davis as a master sleuth in finding tools. Whenever I need something, John gets a call from me, and usually he can find what I need-Al
