SAPFM to Participate at WIA 2010
in Cincinnati October 1-3

SAPFM is participating in Popular Woodworking Magazine's Woodworking in America conference to be held in Cincinnati October 1-3 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. SAPFM members Don Williams, Glen Huey, George Walker, and Roy Underhill are among the scheduled presenters at the event. A 400 square foot booth featuring SAPFM will be set up in the Marketplace. Again this year, Mike Siemsen will be moderating the Hand Tool Olympics where participants have the chance to compete for prizes in a variety of events. SAPFM members are invited to display their work in a special gallery at the SAPFM booth at the Woodworking in America Conference in Cincinnati October 1-3. If you would like to bring a piece to the gallery or would like to volunteer to demonstrate a skill or technique in the booth, contact Charles Murray or Mark Arnold.

Colonial Williamsburg Announces
2011 Working Wood in the 18th Century Conference

Cabinetmakers Look to the East: Asian Influences on 18th-Century English and American Furniture is the topic of the 2011 Working Wood in the 18th Century Conference at Colonial Williamsburg January 12-15 and 16-19. As in years past, SAPFM business meeting and Cartouche Award celebration will take during the second session of the conference. Registration information for both events will be posted on the SAPFM web site, forum, and newsletter as it becomes available.
