I'm hoping someone could tell me about this piece. It belongs to  a friend and he is not sure when it was made.  any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Fred Matas

Mawwiage. Mawwiage is what bwings us togethew today. Mawwiage, that bwessed awwangement, that dweam within a dweam.

It looks to me like the base and the top started out in different shops a few years apart and were joined together.

Fred,
I was hoping my frivolous post might stir some action but to no avail. It is difficult to tell the age of a piece based on your photos. It would require a close look  at the secondary woods and construction details to assess whether it is a revival piece or a period piece. It does appear to be made up of two seperate pieces of furniture.

Fred,

Based on the photos, it appears to be an early 20th century display cabinet.  There is very little that I can see that would indicate that there is any early work in it.  PSP
