Virginia Fall 2012 SAPFM Meeting

Save the date.

Fall meeting will be in Fredericksburg on Saturday 27 October 2012.  Optional activities on Sunday, 28 October.

Saturday activities include a discussion of Fredericksburg furniture by Tara Chicirda, tour of Kenmore, and the Fredericksburg area museum (home of the famous Lodge 4 chair by Thomas Miller and a recently loanded Thomas Walker tall case clock).

Sunday options may include Mary Washington house, Rising Sun Tavern, Hugh Mercer apothecary shop and the James Monroe museum with the desk upon which he is believed to have written the Monroe doctrine.

We will discuss options at Don Williams later this month.

Fredericksburg has been called the most historic town in America.  Kenmore is one of our Nations' finest early homes and was the home of George Washington's sister, just a short walk from their Mother's home.

Restaurants and pubs for all tastes abound, as well as numerous antique shops and quaint downtown stores as well as nearby malls to keep the spouses occupied.
