This is an excellent book on Back country furniture of Virginia made by an individual. I would "highly" recommend it. If you wanted to put your own influence upon period design of the period (1790's to the 18teens) with the pertanant news stories of the day from a Federalist view this is it. John Shearer and his interpretation of Period design with his influences of the day should not to be missed. Hip Hip Hazzah! I hope that the DAR takes this in the manner of respect from which it is meant. Please don't miss this exhibit at the DAR (Daughters Of The American Revolution) 1776 D St Washington DC thru the end of Feb 2011. While you are there look at the rooms from each state.
