Dates have been set for April 2 and 3 in Raleigh, NC. Details of the meeting are still being worked out but Dave has a tentative schedule which I include below.
Apr 2: Begin at 10AM at Klingspor Woodworking shop in Raleigh
3141 Capital Boulevard #110
Raleigh, NC 27604
(919) 876-0707
presentations from 10-noon. Break for lunch, then on to the NC Museum of History for a guided Tour of the traveling Thomas Day exhibit. This exhibit will only be in Raleigh for a limited time so we have a great opportunity to experience it while its here. Here is a link with more info about Thomas Day: http://www.ncdcr.gov/features/thomas_day.asp
Apr 3: Begin at 9AM at Klingspor Woodworking shop in Raleigh. Presentations (TBA) until noon then break for lunch. After lunch we'll hopefully caravan to Pittsboro to tour Roy Underhill's shop and possibly meet with Roy. Dave is still working to arrange this and it is not yet confirmed.
As more details become known I'll update you all. Dave has also arranged our Fall meeting for Oct 1 and 2 at Jim Gerkin's shop in Greensboro. Details to follow much later.
Those who are going to attend the Spring meeting, please let me know.
Thanks, hope to see many of you in April.
