The Woodworkers Club in Rockville, MD has just finalized plans to have Rob Cosman teach two classes back to back in the Woodworkers Club shop in Rockville on Saturday, September 17 from 9:00am to 7:00PM. Rob is a world renowned hard tool expert. He will be conducting two seminars: One on Handplane Revival and one on Hand Cut Dovetails, both through and half-blind. The Great Hand Plane Revival with Rob Cosman

Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
Class Size: 16
Tools Required: Notepad, Pencil, & Your Grandfather?s Old Hand-Me-Down Plane
Bring your old Stanley, Bailey, or Record plane, and spend an afternoon with Rob Cosman learning how to convert that heirloom into the most efficient tool in your shop. He?ll select one person?s plane and, using tools you already have in your shop, walk you through the tuning process, which will take you less than an hour. But wait, there?s more. Rob will teach you his method of freehand sharpening which, once mastered, takes less than 60 seconds to go from dull to exceptionally sharp! Plus, Rob will teach you his method of tuning old planes to perform like new. He?ll give you tips on how to properly use the hand plane to eliminate 80% of your sanding, and the result will be a better surface in a fraction of the time. He has traveled the world teaching this method to thousands.
You can learn it too! This will be a four-hour seminar with some hands-on. Lunch Included

Learn how to assemble right from the saw?no paring, no test fitting?and still get a flawless joint every time. He?s taught thousands; he can teach YOU! As a bonus, he will also demo and teach the half-blind dovetail, the joint used at the front of the drawer. Don?t miss your chance to learn from one of the best.
