Everyone,
Stanley 750s and many other socket chisel handles use leather on the ends. My question is about making a new handles.
How do you finish the tenon length. Do you flush cut it? Or leave it proud by about 1/16 of an inch and beat it down so that it mushrooms over the end of the leather washer for extra holding support?
Thanks in advance,
David
