I don't know how long this deal will last but if you have ever wanted a copy of The Woodbook, Taschen has just republished the book in a 25th Anniversary Edition for $39.95. The original book is currently being sold, when available, for $400 or more dollars. Check it out on Amazon. Check out the new edition here:

If this edition is anything like the original, this is a beautiful book with photos, in color, of three different cross sections for each specie of a large number of woods. The original books (the one with photos not actual wood samples) sold for around $100 and some came in a wooden box. The new edition is in a slipcase according to the above information.
