I just received my quarterly e-magazine while on vacation in Washington, D.C. and saw the information about the Kaufman Collection at the Smithsonian National Gallery of Art. What a wonderful display of furniture - I would have been dismayed if I had not seen the notice until I was home. If you are in D.C stop in, it is magnificent. Another display of early American furniture is on the 8th floor of the State Department building. Tickets are required but it is free. Check it out.
