The Fall Great Lakes Chapter meeting has been set for a single day, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute in Adrian, Michigan.
This SAPFM meeting is open to all SAPFM dues paying members and their guests.
There will be a request of $45 per person to cover Mary May’s costs and charges for coffee, soda, lunch and snacks. We will have lunch at the meeting site. The lunch will be sub sandwiches. Please RSVP so we have an accurate number of attendees for lunch reservations and refreshments.
Doors open at 9AM. Arrive, relax, and have coffee and snacks with friends.
9:30 to Noon – Mary May will give a presentation on traditional carving techniques.
Noon to 1:00 - Lunch at Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute.
1:00 to 3:00 - Erin Lindsay, Gunsmith, will discuss the processes of constructing muzzleloading guns with the emphasis on fitting the stock.
3:00 to 3:30 – Meeting topics for Spring 2024
3:30 to 4:30 – Show and Tell, bring any completed piece or any piece under construction to discuss and show off. Also, please bring any tools, books, etc. you’d like to sell or pass on to others
