OK, this is not American period furniture, unless you consider Perth, Australia a colony of the USA, and that a contemporary bombe is still traditional design
This has been a complex build so far, and I am now at the point of fitting the drawers. This is what I have. The wood is Makore. (complete build: scan to Lingerie Chest: http://www.inthewoodshop.com/Furniture/index.html)

The plan is for bow fronted drawers (in Jarrah). The bow is shallow (drawer front is 22mm thick) ...

.. and something like this, but curve on the sides and be coped into the carcase ...

I thinking that the upper drawers can be built oversize and shaped to fit. However the lower drawers will slope more, and this will affect the thickness of the side boards (quarter sawn Tasmanian Oak - looks similar to White Oak).
Ideas and suggestions on how to build the drawers to fit at the sides?
Regards from Perth
