Fall meeting Indiana SAPFM report

We met at  Woodcraft store in Indy at 9:30 a.m. and seven members were present.  We first had a discussion on our on going spicebox projects and the different phases of construction.  We then had a report on the summer workshop by  Dan Fisher who along with Tom Ford and  Merrill brown , attended the workshop at Lancaster Penn. in August.  Dan also prepaired and gave each attending member a DVD slide show of the mueseum tour and workshops at Lancaster.  We then had a discussion on  topics for our next meetings and I passed out a two page list for reference.  Our new moderator for the coming two years will be John Jesseph of Bloomington Indiana and John will host our spring meeting.  John Goyer(our newest member) gave several demostrations.  The first on rope or twist carving and various layouts and jigs to help in the carving process.  John also used scratch stocks in his carvings and demo their use.  We then had a demostation by woodcraft of the new Sawstop table saw. This brought us to the end of the programs for the day.    I wish to thank the membership for their help and cooperation for the past two years and wish John all the best .    Tom Ford
