The Del Val Chapter of SAPFM is pleased to present an all-day program from 9AM to 4PM.
Our schedule for that day is as follows:
9 am to 9:30 am- Coffee, Donuts -Meet at the fire house located next to Dave’s shop and a chance to talk woodworking with fellow members
9:30 am to 11: am – A short walk over to Dave’s shop - William Duffield will demonstrate turning and carving a finial
11: am to 12: pm – Furniture Study - John Owen will bring an unusual antique “Queen Ann Lowboy” to look over and measure. He asks members to offer their thoughts as to identifying the wood, period and possibly a maker and region. Please bring an antique to study or a piece you are currently working on or completed to study
12 Noon to 1 pm - Lunch we plan on pizza and soft drinks, we ask those who partake to chip-in to cover the cost.
1 pm to 2:30: pm- Frank Vucolo will demonstrate inserting inlay
2:30 pm to 4 pm- Dave will show how to make diamond banding
We hope to have a good turnout for what we expect to be a very interesting and informative day of demonstrations and exchange of information and good conversation
