Announcing Del Val Chapter Meeting on May 10, 2014

The Del Val Chapter of SAPFM is pleased to present an all-day program with Frank Klausz Master Cabinetmaker one of America’s woodworking icons.
Frank Klausz was trained in cabinetmaking tradition in his native Hungary. Frank owned and operated “Frank’s Cabinet Shop” in New Jersey for 40 years. He writes for leading woodworking magazines and has produced 5 DVD’s for Taunton Press currently available through Fine Woodworking. Frank teaches woodworking throughout the Country and Canada. He retired from his shop in 2011.
Our schedule for that day is as follows:
9: am to 9:30 am- Check in. There will be a charge of $35 per person. There will be coffee and donuts for the morning.
9:30 am to Noon- Frank will focus on elements of construction of fine furniture. He will talk about wood technology & a tool clinic on tuning and keeping tools sharp
Noon to 1: pm- Lunch on your own. There are many places around to meet your needs. A list will be available at the check in desk.
1: pm to 4: pm- Hand Dovetailing, Mortise & Tenon joinery, with much more.
For this meeting we have invited non SAPFM members to attend to hopefully introduce interested woodworkers to SAPFM and our Del Val Chapter. We will have information available for anyone interested in becoming a SAPFM member.
Woodcraft has generously offered discounts to all attendees of $5 off on $50 and $10 off on $100 purchases.
