I am going to be in Dallas this week with a lot of free time on my hands between meetings. Does anyone know of any museums or homes where I can spend my spare time studying furniture?  Thanks

I spent a summer in Dallas, the Art Museum downtown has a nice collection.  Worth a visit.

Not sure how much time you have but I think it's a reasonable drive (in TX terms) to go to down to Bayou Bend in Houston which is outstanding!

Thanks Cal, the downtown museum was well worth the time. I go to Bayou Bend every time I'm in Houston.
