Curved Sideboard Rail

I am studying Sideboards, and in the process of planning and design of a curved or D shape piece. With a curved face frame, would the top and bottom rails be steam bent or laminated? Picture attached.

Bob,
Depending on the curve I always cut my rails out of a solid piece. You could always add a thin piece of veneer to the front edge if you do not like some end grain showing. I did not find this to be a problem as your eye will go to other parts of the sideboard. No pictures were attached.
