All –

Plans are now complete for our first meeting of the Carolinas chapter of SAPFM.  The meeting will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1 – 2 in Greensboro at Jim Gerken’s shop (see link to a map below).  It looks like we have a great line-up of speakers and presenters.  Agenda below.

***Reminder – please be sure to bring a chair (if you want to sit down).  If you have an extra, please bring it along.***

Agenda:

Nov. 1 –
10:00 AM – introductions and brief discussion on future plans
11:00 AM -  Show and Tell (bring examples  of your period work to show the group)
12:00 PM  - Break for lunch
01:00 PM – Mary May – acanthus leaf carving
02:00 PM – Mary May – demonstration on sharpening carving chisels
03:00 PM – Mary May hands on sharpening (bring your stones and chisels if you would like to get some instruction in sharpening)

Nov. 2 –
08:00 AM – John McAlister – carving a ball & claw foot
10:00 AM – Bob Bernard – shell carving demonstration

11:00 AM – Bob Mc Carthy – casting brass lions paw feet
12:00 – 12:30 – discussion and wrap-up

Jim’s shop is located at 5648 N. Church St., Greensboro.  The attached link is a map from Charlotte.  You may have to adjust depending on where you are coming from.

I guess John is not going to set up a fall meeting since it is already the end of November. Maybe we can have a spring meeting if anybody wants to take charge.

You guys are confusing me. Are you talking about the Indiana chapter or the Carolinas chapter and if it is the Carolinas chapter why is it posted on the Indiana page?
