Blue Ridge Chapter August Meeting

The August meeting is almost here!  We will be meeting on August 15 at the Museum of the Shenandoah in Winchester, VA.  During the day we will be touring the newly reopened Glen Burnie mansion and the furniture on display at the museum.  The museum has several pieces of John and Thomas Seymour furniture in the collection as newly appointed curator Nick Powers will give an up close look at these pieces, including the dressing table the was featured at Williamsburg in January at the Working Wood conference.  It's a chance for those who did not attend to catch up on what you missed.  Nick will also talk about furniture making in the valley and specific construction methods.

After the meeting we will have dinner at the Union Jack Pub in Winchester to wrap up the day.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you plan to attend.  We will have our usual lunch at the museum.  Cost of the day, including museum tour and lunch, will be $20 per person.  The meeting is, as always, open to SAPFM members and spouses.  Guests can attend one meeting before joining SAPFM.

If you plan to attend I need to know the following:

Do you plan to attend (no need for negative replies)

Spouse and number of guests (and their names!)

Will you (and spouse and guests) plan to attend the dinner after the meeting? y/n

Diner will be at the Union Jack Pub, 101 Loudoun St, Winchester 22601.  There is a free parking garage a block from the restaurant.

The museum address is:  901 Amherst St, Winchester 22601.  The museum is easy to reach from the Rte 37 bypass west of Winchester.
