Description: Dining Table
Mahogany primary wood, mahogany veneer, holy stringing and inlay. Linseed Oil, Shellac, Varnish finish.

This table is a combination of elements from two antiques. The first is a circa 1775 Hepplewhite dining table in the Dictionary of English Furniture by MacQuoid. This table had the basic form. The second inspiration came from a table in an antiques magazine signed by Nathan Margolis in 1937. The table dimensions were taken roughly from the Margolis piece, but were adjusted to fit our dining room and family size. There are 4 leaves each 13 wide, so fully opened it is 10'5 long.
