Description: Dressing Table
Cherry, poplar. Finished with linseed oil, shellac and wax.

Reproduction of Eliphalet Chapin dressing table pictured on the front cover and pages 156-158 of Connecticut Valley Furniture: Chapin and His Contemporaries, 1750-1800 by Thomas P. and Alice K. Kugelman with Robert Lionetti. I was graciously allowed to view, measure, and photograph the original in the storage room of the Connecticut Historical Society Museum, Hartford, CT.
