Description: Serpentine-Front Chest

Primary Wood: Cherry, replacing mahogany in the original

Secondary Wood: Poplar

Based upon the chest that appears in Albert Sack's, New Fine Points of Furniture, p. 95. Original is from Massachusetts 1760-1780. Depth reduced to allow use of one-piece top and sides. Brasses minimized to emphasize figure of drawer fronts which were cut from a single 10/4 plank.
