Mirror Fittings
« on: April 15, 2009, 07:32:49 PM »
Hello All,

I am in search for mirror fittings with the treaded stem @ least as long as 13/4 to 2 inches. Preferably the longer the better so I can adjust as needed.  The width of the mirrors' scrolls and the vertical supports is 1 7/16 of an inch total.  I did ordered what I thought the longest treaded stem from Londonderry Hardware but what I received was totally different then expected.  So,I will be talking to them soon, yet I thought if anyone had any input I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks

Hey Freddie,
                    Try Page150 under mirror screws.

Hey Freddie,

I also got mirror screws from Londonderry because they looked exactly as the originals and was also surprised by how short the threaded shafts were.  So, I went to the local hardware store and bought brass machine screws with the same thread and brazed them on to the fittings and cut to length.  Worked great, but took some time!
