Wanted, machining of a plane sole
« on: September 29, 2012, 12:15:29 PM »
I believe I have the very last chariot plane kit that Shepherd Tool Company ever shipped. It came in a box all jumbled up without any instructions or paperwork and was short the plane sole. I believe it was shipped the day they filed bankruptsy and was a culmination of what they had and could find. Of course I can't complain or get a sole from them so I am looking for someone who can provide a 3/16" thick x 1 5/8" wide x 3 9/16" long piece of steel ground flat stock with an angle cut for the mouth/blade. I can provide a sketch or can provide a sample of another chariot plane.
