Looks like one cannot attend individual workshops or talks. 
      Too bad, as I would love to make it to some of them, but no way can I afford that entry fee for the whole event.

Yes, I agree and the 75 dollar workshops are first come first serve and if you don't get the workshop you want you only get 25 dollars back.  I will call and see if they r going to do a publication about the event
