I was looking through amazon and found a few of these books listed but they are listed with two different authors, one is Hewitt

http://www.amazon.com/The-Work-Many-Hands-1790-1820/dp/B000KT0HX6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345175431&sr=8-1&keywords=the+work+of+many+hands

which goes for 800.00 and the other is by Irving Sandler much cheaper

Are they the same book??? does any one have a copy by sandler and able to compare to the copy by Hewitt?

Mike, The sandler listing has two page counts one of 64 then later down the page , 198. I emailed the seller for clarification.

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine bought a "copy" of The Work of Many Hands online.  It turned out to be just that, a photocopy.  Be careful.
