Fellow members of SAPFM,

If you have not already, we hope you will take the time to renew your SAPFM membership for 2008.

SAPFM is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.  What this means is that donations which can include cash or non-cash gifts, bequests, legacies, devises, transfers, etc, can be used as a charitable contribution by donors on their tax returns.  Donors should always consult with their accountant for tax advice.

Contributions to SAPFM afford us the opportunity to expand our educational endeavors and provide financial support to individuals and other groups who share our interest in period furniture-making.  This past year, SAPFM member dues and contributions helped fund the first national exhibition of contempory American period furniture at the Telfair Museum of Art in Savannah, the change in our web site, the upcoming journal, and more.  Donors can feel satisfaction knowing that they have helped support SAPFM’s educational mission.

The SAPFM Executive Council urges you to renew your 2008 membership today, and to make a charitable donation to take advantage of a tax deduction.  The membership application is available on our web site at http://www.sapfm.org/membership/join.html. It includes a space where a charitable donation can be entered.

If you are not currently a member, please join today to get all the benefits offered by SAPFM including our newsletter, Period Furniture and our annual journal, American Period Furniture. Membership is also required to  attend the SAPFM mid-year conference and the Cartouche Award banquet.
