The Indiana Chapter of SAPFM had our spring meeting on Saturday, March 21st at Conner Prairie. We would like to thank John Weston and Bruce Cox, who put on a great demonstration on window/sash construction using period tools and history of wood hand planes. Also, we want to thank Nate Allen, who facilitated the meeting for Conner Prairie. We're looking forward to having future meetings at Conner Prairie. We had 14 members attend the meeting. We want to recognize Justin Kaufman, Tod Herrli, Merrill Brown and Sam Rhodes who all brought in items for show and tell. The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for a one day meeting in early-mid July. The topics currently on the agenda is Mike Weber and Tom Ford discussing finishing techniques, Justin Kaufman demonstrating carving a ball and claw foot and Tod Herrli constructing raised panel door using hand planes. More details forthcoming on the location and time.
