Southern Backcountry Finishing workshop w/ Martin O'Brien Feb 7-8

Even the blotchy stuff!!!: Staining and finishing wood without fear

SAPFM - Southern Backcountry - Winter Workshop:

Exploring the world of Stains and Finishes with Martin O'Brien

Being able to apply an appropriate and pleasing finish to a finished is one of the critical elements to finishing project.  Questions such as, how do you deal with a blotchy wood or having differing woods in the same piece of furniture to be the same color have befuddled the best of woodworkers.  The often confusing language used to describe color and various finishes does not help the matter either.
At the 2012 Midyear conference Martin O'Brien did a lecture on color theory.  Many found his presentation to be not only useful, pragmatic, and most importantly highly approachable for the color challenged. After his presentation I heard members wanting Martin to expand his presentation.  Well here is your chance for that expanded presentation.
