The Southern New England chapter of SAPFM is pleased to offer a tour of the exhibit “Art and Industry in Early America: Rhode Island Furniture, 1650 – 1830” at the Yale Art Gallery.  The exhibit is the result of 15 years of study by Patricia Kane and, as she will be leading our tour, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The exhibit is made up of mostly loaned objects from such notable places as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Diplomatic Reception rooms of the U.S. State Department.  As such, the tour cannot include handling or close examination of the pieces; however, with someone as knowledgeable as Patricia Kane the tour is sure to be fascinating.

After the Rhode Island furniture exhibit tour, we will break for lunch and upon returning, Patricia Kane will lead a tour of the Yale Furniture Study. Lunch will be at a local eatery (to be determined or on your own).

For more information visit http://rifa.art.yale.edu/

The tour will be Monday, November 28, 2016 and will start at 10:30AM.  The cost is $15.00.

Because so many pieces are on loan, Yale’s security department requires the following information from all attending. Please include this information in your reply.

Full Name, Full Address, Phone number
A maximum of 18 people may take the tour so make sure to respond early.
