The spring meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at David Atwell?s shop.
The preliminary Agenda:
9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Registration/Coffee
9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Business Meeting
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Show and tell - Highly recommended that you bring something for show and tell
12:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch/ Sandwich and beverage will be provided
1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Gene Wengert - from the University of Wisconsin and Forest Products Lab - presentation on drying lumber for a shop
2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. David Atwell - History of early reproduction furniture
2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.- I need volunteers for the afternoon presentations. Some of the subjects requested to be covered according to the survey are carved moldings, ball and claw foot, bracket foot, skewed mortise and tenon joint, and dovetail-joined case furniture. If you are interested in giving a presentation on any of the listed subjects or a subject of your choice, please let me know and how much time you will need.
I will need an RSVP by March 31, 2013, and let me know if you have any dietary concerns.
