Peach State SAPFM to feature Chair Making

The Peach State Chapter of SAPFM fall meeting will include talks, demonstrations and displays of works by our local members on September 10 & 11 at Woodcraft location in Roswell, GA.. 

The agenda includes:
? A presentation by Jim Conley on making measurements and layout of period arm chair
? Making period nails and screws
? How to make rubbings and clay models of carvings
? David Coker will discuss his chair construction and design
? Review and report on mid-year 2011 SAPFM  meeting in Connecticut
? Show and tell of member current projects or projects in progress. 

A pre-meeting will be held on Friday evening, September 9 with a slide presentation by our featured presenter Jim Conley on his furniture and the process of making a reproduction chair at 7:00 PM at the Woodcraft store located at 8560 Holcomb Bridge Road, Suite 115, Alpharetta, Ga. 30022 and is open to the public.  The SAPFM session will be from 9AM to 4PM on Saturday and 9AM to 3PM on Sunday. There will be a small fee to cover Jim?s travel expenses.  Advance registration is encouraged as space will be limited.
