Freddy Roman will be giving a seminar and workshop at the Peach State SAPFM (Georgia) chapter on Feb 8-11. 
The weekend agenda will include: Making Banding with hand techniques; overview of doors  - styles, methods, advantages, disadvantages; making drawer with veneer front, cross banding, stringing, cock beading, flush edging; fitting door face to case; making and insetting bell-flowers; making a serpentine apron for a table; coopered doors with hand tools - hand preparation of parts, use of hide glue and spring clamps to assemble;  panel layout; table top construction - proper substrate layout and construction, use of veneer on both sides to avoid cracking.

The topic of the hands-on workshop on Monday and Tuesday February 10-11 will center  on ornamentation of a serpentine element.  This will include veneering, inlays, cross banding. This will be hands on participation by students on their own sample of work.
