The Peach State Chapter of SAPFM spring meeting will feature Mickey Callahan of American Period Furniture Makers. The weekend will be a combination of demonstrations and illustration of construction techniques using ?mock ups?. Demonstrations will include: carving volutes and scrolls, turning and carving a flame finial for Philadelphia and Newport styles, making gooseneck molding, reeding of turned legs on a lathe, acanthus leaf carving on a cabriole knee, and making a pie crust table top.
Mickey will lead a workshop on Monday and Tuesday on making the Chippendale corner chair featured in FWW 215.
