From their website: “A few years ago, in light of our advancing ages and the necessity to acquire Beech well before it can be used in our planes, we made a decision not to replenish our supplies. We have finally reached the point where our orders have exhausted the 16/4 Beech for making bench planes, so we are discontinuing that branch of our product line.
We still have a limited supply of Beech suitable for making side escapement planes, and will continue taking orders for them until we reach the limits of that supply.”
We we’re lucky to have the option of buying their bench planes for so long. Fortunately they were generous with their knowledge, and we have a few other options for traditional wooden bench planes. But I don’t know of anyone else making single_iron, English style bench planes for sale.
