Membership renewal and the journal

I seem to remember hearing something a while back about renewing membership by the end of October in order to receive the journal. I did not get a reminder to do so and just checked my renewal date, which it stated as January. I just renewed today. Did I miss this years journal? Am I remembering things incorrectly.

Your prior membership was good through 9 Jan 2017, so you would not have gotten a reminder yet, and since your membership was current as of 31 October 2016 you will get a journal. Now that you renewed again, your current membership runs to 9 Jan 2018, so you will also get a journal next year.
