Looking for plans for a Federal style Serpentine side board

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for some plans for a serpentine front side board. I have just recently acquired a book put out by American Woodworker, entitled Cabinetmaking Illustrated, and it has a nice exploded view of the piece. The only problem is that it does not have many measurements. I would like to know if anyone has any plans or even any detailed measurements for the legs drawer sizes etc. Maybe a graph of the front curve. Thanks for your help.

I have very cursory plans for serpentine front sideboard I am thinking about building. They have overall dimensions and a scale on the side but not much else. If you send me your e mail address I can scan the plans a send them to you. [email protected]

Frank, we have plans for two Sheraton sideboards available for download on our library of Phil Lowe's plans (access from the front page of sapfm.org). Neither of them are serpentine (one is bow front) but you can get an idea of leg dimensions, etc from them.

Steve Latta has a FWW article with plans for a serpentine sideboard - Nov/Dec 2011 (Part 1) should give you what you need to build, along with tips on how Steve approached the build.
