Jefferson revolving bookcase

I am interested in building a Jefferson revolving bookcase.  Are there any known dimensions of the original bookcase and how does the pivot mechanism operate?

Here is a link to a video of Roy Underhill's show on building the bookstand. There used to be plans on Roy's site for the bookstand, but I just looked and they are no longer there. I would think if you contacted Roy he would send them to you.   http://www.pbs.org/video/2365004559/ 

It is my plan to build 2 of them this winter, good luck on yours.
