I will need a "head count" no later than March 1, 2010.  This would allow Conner Prairie enough time to make their accomodations.

The Indiana Chapter had a great meeting on March 13th.  The meeting was at Conner Prairie in Fishers, IN.

We had 12 members attend the meeting in the modern woodworking shop at Conner Prairie.  After a short discussion on Chapter business, Tom Ford started his joewoodworker.com inspired vacuum pump/press and demonstrated the technique for using the vacuum press on a few boards.  Once he wrapped up, David Mikoryak showed the group how to make period style window muntins with modern router bits.  After a break for lunch, Justin Kauffman showed how he draws his full size drawings for all his projects.  Dave Redlin wrapped up the demonstrations with a group discussion on Carcase joinery and construction techniques.  For show and tell, Sam Rhodes showed his Philadelphia Arm chair in progress, Merrill Brown discussed his Chippendale mirror, inspired by Steve Latta's article in FWW and Justin showed his pilgrim stool, made with green woodworking techniques.
As a wrap up, mid summer dates were discussed for the summer meeting.  Information will be posted at a later date on this.

Thanks,
Dave Redlin

Special thanks go out to Conner Prairie, John Weston and Nathan Allen for their generosity and support.
