The Indiana Chapter had a great meeting on May 14th, with 10 members in attendance. We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Dan Reahard, who came down from the Great Lakes Chapter to demonstrate some acanthus leaf carving and other carving techniques. Also, we would like to thank Sam Rhodes, and Tod Herrli who demonstrated preparing a board, starting with a scrub plane he built through the final surface, while Sam showed one of his Chippendale chairs and some techniques on its construction. Dave Redlin finished up with a short session on a Queen Anne Footstool and carving an applied shell.
Finally, we would like to thank Conner Prairie for their continuing support and generosity.
The Fall 2011 meeting details will be announced later in the summer.
