Need help trying to identify the specific veneer on a dining suite I am restoring for a client.  This is a Berkey & Gay dining suite circa 1915, constructed of American black walnut with what appears to be claro walnut veneer on the tops of the sideboard, server and dining table.  This is a high end dining suite with classical hand carvings.  The suite belonged to the great-grandfather of the client and was originally put into service at the Printup Hotel in Gadsden, Alabama in the early 1900s.  The hotel was owned by the great-grandfather at that time.  Also needing an appraiser knowledgeable of this high end furniture in order to give client an estimated insurance value.   I have been thru internet and P4A to find comparables and have not been able to locate anything.  Any assistance would be most appreciated.
