I recently came across a stash of close to 500 board feet of mahogany a woodworker in Connecticut purchased in the 60’s and 70’s. I believe all the mahogany to be Honduran (swietenia macrophylla). There is some really nice material in this pile, not like the stuff you commonly find today. Also available is a small quantity of nice, old curly maple suitable for banding. I am not a hoarder, so I need to move it along to worthy projects of others.
The majority of the material is 16/4 and 7/8" thick S2S, but I also have a small amount of 8/4 material.
16/4 - $14 bd ft
8/4 - $12 bd ft
7/8" S2S $10 bd ft
I can provide a detailed listing of material available on request. Please contact me at [email protected] or 860.941.92eightseven. I am in New London, Connecticut - I would really prefer pickup, but shipping is possible.
I will have another posting regarding the veneers that were in the same basement.
