High boy waist molding

I’ve done a couple of lowboys but I’m working on my first highboy. How tight do I get the waist molding to the upper
case? I’m thinking right up against the front but 1/32 or on on each side. I’m in SE lower Michigan so humidity
can vary greatly.

I've done several highboys and chest-on-chests for customers and that is exactly what I do. I use my 12" scale as a spacer on each side.
