Great Lakes Chapter meeting has been set for a single day, Saturday March 24, 2018 at the Livonia Senior Center in Livonia, Michigan.
This SAPFM meeting is open to all SAPFM dues paying members and their guests.
There will be a request of $5 per person to cover charges of room rental, coffee, soda, and snacks.
We will be having lunch at the restaurant next door, “Sam’s Place”.
9:00 – Doors open! Arrive, relax, and have coffee and snacks with friends.
9:30 – Show and Tell: Bring any completed piece or any piece under construction to discuss and show off. Also, swap and swindle, bring any tools, books, etc. you want to pass on to others.
10:00 – The Citizen Curator: A Guide to Collecting Period Furniture, Anne Kearney-Looman and Sean Looman
11:00 – Great Lakes Chapter of SAPFM: A History, Bill Vetter
Noon to 1:00 – Lunch at Sam’s Place next to the senior center.
1:00 – Future of SAPFM: General Discussion of Promoting the Great Lakes Chapter
1:30 – Hand Tool Sharpening and Set-up, Jim Crammond. I’ll be bringing in my hard-luck tools in for re-hab…please bring yours in too!
3:30 – Wrap Up and Discuss Agenda for Next Meeting: Possible ideas…site visits, shop visits, ideas from 2017 American Period Furniture, President’s Letter.
