Glass Front Secretary

I'm looking for plans for a secretary with glass doors rather than solid doors. I'd like a split pediment design. Does anyone know of a set of plans I can buy?

Alan,  I should have replied to this sooner.  There is a nice plan for a glass front Federal secretary in Michael Dunbar's book, Federal Furniture.  If you prefer full-sized plans a quick trip to Kinko's and a few dollars spent on their large scale plotter will provide them.  I find that for a few dollars almost any plan out of a book can be turned into large scale plans in a few minutes.  The book is published by Taunton and the ISBN is: 0-918804-48-5.  I can't believe it's not available online if not still available from Taunton.

Mike's book on Federal Furniture is out of print, but is still available occasionally through independent sellers on Amazon or Alibris (www.alibris.com).  It's not an inexpensive book, but is much cheaper than "Make a Windsor Chair" which is very popular and is priced accordingly.

Taunton seems to have changed their business model substantially.  For years, they kept almost everything they'd ever published in print or at least in stock.  However, they seemed to have dropped that idea in favor of the more common short-run book publishing models, so if there's a book that you want that they've recently published, it's a good idea to get it rather than wait.  I expect that Greene's "American Furniture of the 18th Century" will not be available long (at least from Taunton).
